Continuing Education Credit Hours

The Librarians Teach online courses may be completed for Continuing Education credits or units for teacher-librarians and educators who must complete professional development hours.

Your course completion certificate includes most of the information needed for your school, district, or U.S. state.

Texas Continuing Professional Education Clock Hours:

Requirements to Earn TX CPE Clock Hours:

  • Complete all modules and lessons in an online course.
  • Complete the required course feedback and evaluation form after finishing the course
    • Select Texas for “Continuing Education Credit” and provide the requested information.
    • Your course completion certificate is your attendance verification.

Pennsylvania Act 48 Hours:

Approved Act 48 Professional Development Provider & Recorder
PA Act 48 Provider #

Requirements to Earn PA Act 48 hours:

  • Complete all modules and lessons in an online course.
  • Complete the required course feedback and evaluation form after finishing the course
    • Select Pennsylvania for “Continuing Education Credit” and provide the requested information.
    • Your course completion certificate is your attendance verification.

All other U.S. states:

Your course completion certificate provides your school, district, or U.S. state with the following information about the professional online course:

  • Our name as the professional development provider
  • Your full name as the educator
  • The name of the course that was completed
  • Number of hours completed through the course
  • The date of course completion, including the course evaluation & feedback form

It is up to your school or district to approve your continuing education hours.
